Restoration of 1880’s light industrial/warehouse building that was damaged in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center
Scope of work included:
- façade rebuilding and associated structural steel repairwork and
installation
- cleaning of the entire façade with pressurized water and Prosoco cleaners
- cutting and repointing of entire façade with a lime blend mortar
formulated to match the historic mortar in color, texture, profile, and design
- cutting out and recaulking of all window perimeter joints
- removal of existing roofing down to deck and installation of new membrane
- cornice fabrication and restoration
Project completed in the spring of 2003
