This landmark was designed in the Romanesque-Revival style by Frank A. Rooke in 1892

Major exterior, as well as interior, restoration of this landmark included:
- the complete rebuilding of the upper section of façade
- furnishing and installation of custom carriage house sectional doors
- removal, casting, and installation of iron newel posts and railings at front façade
- fabrication and installation of historic wood windows
- replacement of damaged bricks with historically correct matching ones

Project completed in the spring of 1998
