PRESERV President, Carl Culbreth, gave a keynote at the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, on November 14, 2007. The keynote titled, Fixing the Façade from Stoop to Cornice, provided insight into the many facets of façade restoration, in particular, brownstone restoration. In addition to the keynote, Carl Culbreth moderated the panel discussion, Expert Perspectives on the Nuts and Bolts, along with various fabricators who have assisted in the restoration process. Pre-Cast stone, window and ironwork specialists provided presentations of the methods used in their practice to produce or reproduce elements, found on the historic structures.
