Since 1993, PRESERV has been providing quality restoration and project management services to property owners, building management firms, architects and engineers. We specialize in historic preservation projects ranging from houses of worship to residential townhouses; commercial properties to landmark apartment buildings.

In addition to our roster of dedicated clients, our projects have been recognized with awards from preservation groups including the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, The Landmarks Conservancy, The Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts, Murray Hill Association, and the Hoboken Historic Preservation Commission.

PRESERV’s team of project managers and skilled craftspeople takes a hands-on approach to restoration – closely supervising each project from planning to completion. The majority of our staff consists of long-time PRESERV employees, providing our clients with a consistent level of expertise. Working closely with top preservation professionals as well as with NYC Landmarks and other regulatory agencies, we can guide our clients through every phase of planning, production and project management.

Our offices are equipped with computerized drafting capabilities as well as the latest in critical path, project management, scheduling, and spreadsheet software. This allows for precise job costing and time-material record keeping. We maintain a warehouse to accommodate equipment, materials and specialty items necessary to day-to-day field operations. Additionally, partnering with fabrication facilities enables us to produce custom orders and deliver materials without delay from suppliers.

PRESERV is certified by the leading manufacturers as installers for restoration patching materials, synthetic stucco systems, roofing systems and specialty exterior restoration products. Working with only the most reputable suppliers we can guarantee quality control and technical support.


New Projects: 443 Greenwich Street

PRESERV has been awarded the contract for the façade restoration of this 1905, 7-story Tribeca landmark. Working with David Abramson of CTS Architects and Carlos Huezo of Renotal Construction in conjunction with the owners Metro Loft Management. The façade restoration will include masonry cleaning and pointing on four exterior elevations and four interior courtyard elevations, along with bluestone and brownstone repair and patching. In addition, fabrication and installation of 580 custom steel replica shutters and a custom cast iron cornice are included in the scope of work.

Michael Trotter is the project manager of this extensive project.

Completion is anticipated for late 2013.

Completed Projects: 76 Laight Street

Recently PRESERV has completed Phase I at 76 Laight Street. Working with Lisa Easton of Easton Architects, LLP this phase included complete cleaning and repointing of two street façades of this Tribeca former warehouse. Chris Donaldson is the project manager on this multi-phase project. Phase II will include restoration of the sidewalk, vault light loading dock, and installation of a new canopy. Phase III will include replacement of the roof and deck structure.

Completion is anticipated of the Spring of 2014.
