Restoration of this landmark apartment building included:
  • Restoration of woodwork of seven dormers
  • Removal of existing mansard roofing and installation of natural slate roofing
  • Rebuilding of decorative chimneys
  • Cleaning, cutting, and repointing of all brick and stone masonry
  • Removal of deteriorated rook edging at Bleeker St. elevation and fabrication and installation of new galvanized sheet metal to match existing
  • Fabrication and installation of new fiberglass ornamental cornice and fascia to replicate cast iron

New Projects: 443 Greenwich Street

PRESERV has been awarded the contract for the façade restoration of this 1905, 7-story Tribeca landmark. Working with David Abramson of CTS Architects and Carlos Huezo of Renotal Construction in conjunction with the owners Metro Loft Management. The façade restoration will include masonry cleaning and pointing on four exterior elevations and four interior courtyard elevations, along with bluestone and brownstone repair and patching. In addition, fabrication and installation of 580 custom steel replica shutters and a custom cast iron cornice are included in the scope of work.

Michael Trotter is the project manager of this extensive project.

Completion is anticipated for late 2013.
